Blurb: Home is where his
heart is…once he recognizes what’s in his heart.
Southern Honor, Book 1
Broken
in body, mind and spirit after a botched mission in Kuwait, elite Special
Forces operative Jack Dresden returns to Devotion, Georgia, both dreading and
longing to face his past. He left town on the receiving end of a wicked right
hook thrown by the only person who ever made him feel he was right where he
belonged.
Dillon
Bluff was never good at pretending. Coming out right after high school, it
hasn’t been easy dealing with the stigma of being gay in a small, Southern
town. When he stumbles across Jack in the throes of a panic attack, one touch
reignites the smoldering, hidden torch he’s always carried for his former best
friend.
Jack
knows he’s messed up, and the last thing he wants to do is hurt Dillon again.
But Dillon is determined to take control and show Jack’s heart the way back
home.
Warning:
Contains a sexy, scarred Delta Force hero with the hots for his tattooed
photojournalist prone-to-skinny-dipping ex-best friend. Threats of creative
rope use and plenty of manly loving may leave the reader craving a
cigarette—and a man in uniform.

Daniels has been penning stories since she could put pen to paper. She has
always found something magical about the journey of characters finding
themselves and finding love worth fighting for. Living in Ohio with her husband

addict, all-round super cupcake baker while sneaking in as much writing time as
possible. Meredith loves to hear from readers and you can find her on Twitter

Excerpt:
Jack didn’t know what prompted him
to reach across the table and take Dillon’s hand in his. It could have been the
stark loss he saw in the brown depths of his eyes. More than likely, it was the
overpowering need to feel the other man’s skin against his that had assaulted
him almost as soon as he’d walked through the diner door.
Countless
nights this man had haunted his dreams and countless nights Jack had to force
himself to remember Dillon Bluff hated him. Would probably hate him even more
if he gave in to the desire thrumming its way through his bloodstream to pull
the smaller man over the table and take his mouth in a kiss that would wipe any
memory of anyone but himself ever being there.
God,
he was losing it. Edna’s return with their lunch gave him the space from his
thoughts, he needed to breathe and get his thoughts in order. He tucked into
the juicy burger in front of him, determined to ignore the heat still radiating
from his palm.
Dillon
had made his opinion of him very clear ten years ago. Conveyed rather nicely
with his lethal right hook. He had surprised Jack saying he owed him an
apology. If anyone needed to say they were sorry, it was Jack. He had led Stacy
on for years. Left her thinking they had a future. He had tried to sneak out of
town without saying goodbye to the man who made him feel alive. He was chicken shit
and he knew it. All he had to do was get through this lunch and the party
tomorrow night and he would probably never see Dillon again. Jack had survived
the worst kinds of torture. Surely he could keep a handle on his lust for
forty-eight hours?
He
tried to pay attention to Stacy as she updated him on all the happenings around
Devotion. He couldn’t stop himself from looking across the table at Dillon. He
fought a smile as he watched the other man mop up burger juices with his fries.
He followed the french fry’s journey to lips that had left him a quaking mess
ten years ago. When Dillon’s pink tongue peeked out and dabbed at the corner of
his mouth, he had to pinch his thigh to hold in the moan of longing.
“So
what do you think?” Stacy’s question had him stuttering back to reality.
Leaving behind the world where he traced the delicate lines of the colorful tattoos
covering Dillon’s arms with sharp nips and soothing kisses.
He
tried to hide his scowl at the direction his thoughts had wandered down and
turned to the woman next to him. “I’m sorry?”
“I
was saying that we need to get together after the party tomorrow.” She winked
at him. “How long are you in town?”
“Six
weeks.” He tried not to growl the answer but he could feel Dillon watching him.
His entire body seemed to be in tune to Dillon’s and that was the last thing he
needed. There was no way he was going to make it through another meal with the
man without giving the whole restaurant a show he doubted any of them truly
wanted to see.
“That
settles it then.” Stacy grabbed his arm and squeezed. Across the table, Dillon
tensed. “We can’t let you spend the whole time squirreled away in that house.”
“He’s
supposed to be recovering, Stacy.” He watched her brows crinkle in confusion
before she shot her brother a quick look. Dillon was now studying him like he
was assessing his fitness. Like he just remembered that he was here on medical
leave and not to stay.
“He looks fit enough to me.”
“That’s
because Jack Dresden only lets people see what he wants them to.”
Surprised,
Jack held his gaze. What did he mean by that? Did Dillon suspect his feelings
for him? It was hard to say because the only thing he found in the other man’s
eyes was a banked fire. He wasn’t sure if it was flames of anger or something
else.
The
rest of their lunch was spent in near silence. Stacy tried a few times to break
the two men out of their sulk, but it looked like her brother had said his
peace and Jack sure as hell didn’t feel like digging himself any deeper. So
Jack inhaled his burger which now held the appeal of cardboard and wondered
when he could find a way out of there.
Just
as he was about to make an excuse, the bell over the door jingled.

About the Author:
Anais Morgan has been writing, in one form or another, since she was fourteen. Her loves have always been romance, followed by paranormals. It seems cliché, but she loves a classic tale with a sexy twist. If she can get inspiration from anything, it'd be Titanic. Anais has been married since 2007 to an equally strange man. Technically they don’t have kids, but four pets equal kids, don’t they?

Excerpt from At Your Service:
She held out a gloved hand for me to take. “Mr. Matthews, I’m ready.”
I led her to the white Mercedes Benz parked out front. I helped her in and gave a wink before getting in the driver’s seat. Tilda watched from the top-floor balcony.
As I pulled away, Dana watched until her house was gone from view. Then came the sound of a zipper. I twitched in my seat. “Miss, what are you doing?”
“It’s Dana, remember? And I’m not going out in this. You packed my clothes. Where are they?”
“Under my seat.”
She wrestled a bit before pulling the clothes free. I glanced in the review mirror, a major part of me dying to see more than I had last night. She slid the sundress down, revealing a nude-colored bra.
Fuck, it got hot in the car. I cranked up the A/C and loosened my collar. I couldn’t help peeking back as she took off the bra and used only her arms to cover herself.
A horn blew, and I averted my eyes in time to see the back of another car fast approaching. I slammed on the brakes, and the Benz skidded to a stop inches from rear-ending the car. I exhaled. Best to keep my eyes where they belonged.
Dana giggled. I shook my head and grasped the wheel harder. Focusing on the road became my only salvation. A zipper echoed through the car again, and I looked back. Dana had dressed, finishing up with her leather skirt. I sighed the heaviest sigh of my life. Thank fucking God that was over. My erection, however, remained.

Release Date: February 13, 2014
The problem with crazy is that crazy, by itself, has no context. It can be good crazy, bad crazy . . . or crazy crazy—like it was when my ex-boyfriend sung about me on the radio.
Eighteen-year-old Kate couldn’t be more excited about finishing high school and spending the summer on tour with her boyfriend’s band. Her dad showing up drunk at graduation, however, is not exactly kicking things off on the right foot—and that’s before she finds out about his mystery illness, certain to end in death.
A mystery illness she is likely to inherit.
When your whole life goes from adventure and ecstasy to sad and suicidal, what’s the point? Not knowing who to love, and who to trust . . . where does it end?
The Problem With Crazy is a story about love and life; about overcoming obstacles, choosing to trust, and learning how to make the choices that will change your life forever.
*A portion of sales from this book will be donated to a Huntington’s disease-related charity (details TBC)

“And there is something else we need to tell you, dear.”
“Deb, not now. Give ‘er a rest,” Dad interjected, his voice sounding ever more weary with each passing word.

“What? Tell me,” I demanded, my fingers clenching into little fists. “What could possibly be worse than what you’ve already said?” Dave placed his arm protectively around my shoulders. I wanted to shake it off.
“Maybe we should wait.” Mum eyed Dave’s hand.
“Anything you have to say, you can say in front of him.” I shook my head. “He’s family. You know that.” Dave and I locked eyes, and he gave me a special little smile.
“Kate, it’s not a good time.” Mum’s voice was shrill. My heart was beating like a jackhammer, thud-thud-thud, over and over at double time.

“If you don’t tell me now, I’ll Google it. I’ll just search the disease and see what I can find. We both will!”
Silence. Dave took my hand in his, clasping his other hand around it so I was protected entirely within his palms. Mum and Dad looked at each other, foreheads wrinkled and lips pursed.
“The disease your father has,” Mum paused. I nodded at her. Go on.

I struggled to breathe as Dave’s fingers slowly unlaced themselves from mine.

Since Vincent is a fellow science fiction fan, I asked him to list his top ten favorite romantic moments in the genre! Here's his response. There's some great choices here.
My top ten Romantic moments in sci-fi, fantasy and other genre
books, movies and/or TV.
Han &
Leah
There were 2 moments in Empire Strikes Back. One was that kiss
on the Millennium Falcon while they were hiding from the Empire. That was such
a cool scene. But there’s something about the scene where Han is about to get
frozen. Leah tells him, “I love you.” And his reply? “I know.”
Spiderman
& Mary Jane.
Because I was a nerd of a kid that dreamed of being able to
save the girl and get a kiss. And he got to do it while hanging upside down
from a web! How cool is that?
Worf &
Dax
That spectacular moment where our favorite cuddly Klingon
Warrior tied the knot with the Trill Jadizia Dax. (Wonder how it felt for Worf
to hear Captain Sisko call his new bride “Old Man.”) Let us celebrate by drinking blood wine and
hitting ourselves with pain sticks!
Harry
& Ginny
In Half Blood Prince, the gang at Hogwarts are in potions
class where their new potions professor (Horace Slughorn) has a cauldron of a
love potion brewing. Hermione explains that it smells different to each person
depending on what they love. Harry smells smelled treacle tart, the woody scent
of broomstick handle, and "something flowery that he thought he might have
smelled at the Burrow.” In a later chapter, we come to realize that was the
scent of Ginny Weasley’s perfume. At that moment, hundreds of thousands of
Potter fans who had been shipping Harry/Ginny did fist bumps!
Ron &
Hermione
Since were in the Potterverse, how many of us out there
yelled, “It’s about bloody time!” when Hermione kissed Ron because he showed
concern for the house elves?
Princess
Buttercup & the Man in Black.
In the Princess Bride, we’re all yelling “Assss youuu wishhhhh” as we’re rolling down the mountain. Only
‘True Love’ can conquer death.
James T.
Kirk & Edith Keeler
So this one wasn’t such a happily ever after as much as it was
a tragic love story. Falling in love with a woman who must die or you sacrifice
the future was an amazing tale of tortured love. I can still hear Spock yelling
out, “No Jim” just at that heartbreaking instant. Not all love stories have a
happy ending.
Zoe &
Wash
They were a wonderful example of a modern married couple in the
year 2517, traveling the verse together, him flying Serenity and her as second
in command. Zoe was kick ass, and Wash played with dinosaurs. It ended
tragically. The kind of ending that really goes right through you. (That was
bad.)
Glen
& Maggie
I’ve got to include the couple that first ‘hooked up’ in a
pharmacy in the middle of a world infested with zombies. I’m rooting for these
two to not become walker chow on the show.
King Kong
& Ann Darrow
Here’s the crown jewel or romance in film. I guess I kind of
identify a little with Kong. Poor guy. All he wanted was to show his girl a
night out on the town. But that ice skating scene is magic.
Awesome choices Vincent!
And on to his new book:

Excerpt from Royal Pain by Danielle Doolittle:
“All rise. The
Honorable Judge Freeland presiding.”
The bailiff’s
voice caused Henry’s brain to ricochet against his skull. He was slow to gain
his feet as an elderly man in a billowing, black robe walked briskly from a
doorway set to the side of the room. Henry watched his bald head reflect the
light as he took his seat at the bench.
The sooner this
little show was over, the sooner he could find his car and get back to Chicago.
His brother was expecting him. While he wasn’t looking forward to the idea of
dealing with official state business, Henry found he actually missed Alexei.
Must have been the hangover.
He hadn’t been
home in six months. Not since they’d issued him the ultimatum. It was either
change his ways on his own, or his family had resolved they would do it for
him. He knew how they wished to solve what they perceived as his problem, so
Henry packed up and headed to America. Here, his only official business
involved deciding which party to attend and who he was taking back to the hotel
with him afterward.
“What have you to
say for yourself?” The old judge’s gravelly voice made Henry realize he should
have been paying attention.
“Sorry?”
“I said, after
your actions last night, what do you have to say for yourself?”
“I can honestly
say, sir, that I sorely regret having to take the jobs of all the night staff
at the Hilton for allowing me to leave the hotel in such a condition. So if you
will let me be on my way, it would seem I have some business to attend to. And
I assure you, after today, you will never have to see my face again. Now, if I
could be on my way?”
“Hold it right
there, son.” Steel had worked its way into Judge Freeland’s voice. “I know who
you are, and I believe you expect it will allow you to walk away from this
without feeling any repercussions. I’m here to tell you, young man, that in
that assumption, you are very wrong.”
Henry felt himself
shift under the weight of the old judge’s glare.
“You will find
that we treat all offenders equally here in Sweetwater. You have quite a list
of offenses: DUI, assaulting an officer, public nudity.”
Public what?
“Now, see here!”
Henry was outraged. Who did this backwater, sorry excuse for a judge think he
was? Henry was royalty, nobility. Granted, he was currently on the outs with
the family, but that didn’t change anything. He was entitled to a standard of
treatment, and this old man was about to get a lesson in etiquette.
“Before you can
launch into how I have offended your noble lineage, Your Highness, you should
know that the District Attorney has been in contact with your embassy in
Chicago. The royal family has been made abreast of our office’s suggested
sentencing and has fully backed it.”
What? Those nosey
diplomats never bothered to stick their noses in his business before. Why start
now?
“While I cannot
pass a ruling on someone with diplomatic immunity such as you, I do have this
message.” Pulling a crisp sheet of paper from the manila folder he had carried
into the room, the old man cleared his throat before continuing. “It is the decision
of the Kingdom of Benignus that Prince Henry Xavier Bartholomew Reginald
Fitzgerald be sentenced to thirty days in supervised detox at Mount Mercy
Rehabilitation, followed by six months at Sweetwater Creek Ranch and completion
of their sober living program. If he does not comply with our stipulations,
steps will be taken to strip him of his immunity, and we will not interfere
with any who wish to prosecute him for his transgressions.”
“What?”
“I believe,
despite that splitting headache I’m sure you are suffering, you heard me
clearly. Thirty days at Mount Mercy, six months at Sweetwater Creek, and
completion of the program or jail. Your choice.”
