I had a chance to ask a quick question! Since I love naming my characters, I asked how Ms. Phillips chooses her character's names.

ME: How do you choose your character names? Do you ever change their names mid-process?

Carly Phillips: Ever since my Chandler Brother (The Bachelor) days, I’ve used soap opera characters and actors/actresses to name my characters.  I love to mix their real names with their character’s names in order to come up with the perfect fit.  I rarely change mid-process because they become their name.
