Hi Melinda! Thanks for stopping by. :)
·
Do you have any advice for aspiring writers? Is
there anything you wish someone had told you?
Never give up
and believe in yourself. Also, listen to those in the industry. Most of them
really know what they’re talking about.
·
Concerts can be very expensive, who do you think
is worth the splurge?
I’d definitely
splurge on Maroon 5. It’s not a secret that I have a little crush on Adam
Levine, plus I love dancing to their music.
·
Have you ever read a book that you expected to
enjoy but didn’t or, vice versa, read a book that you didn’t expect to enjoy
and fell in love with it anyway? Which book?
Yes, I just
finished On the Island by Tracey
Garvis-Graves and I am so glad I read it. I put it off for months, because I
really don’t like the cougar trope – older woman, younger man. But, I have to
say that Tracey really did a great job letting their love grow on you. An
unexpected, awesome read! I highly recommend it.
·
What is your favorite board game? Card game?
Okay, the inner
geek in me is asking, “What about computer games?” I’ve been known to get
addicted to different Zynga games – Farmville, Cityville, etc. Lately, I’ve
been playing Clash of Clans, which my students showed me. Dorkity-dork-dork!
But, if I had to pick a favorite card game, because I do like them, it’d be Gin
Rummy or Golf.
·
What was your favorite subject at school?
In high school,
I was a drama nerd. I loved acting and I was a proud Thespian! In college, I
was a Political Science and Communication double major. I absolutely loved my
American Politics courses.

Please describe your perfect day.
A day at a
Guatemalan beach. I love my adopted country and the black-sand beaches are some
of the most relaxing. I’d wake up, grab a cup of coffee and a great read, head
to the pool or beach and lay back for the rest of the day. A whole day of
nothingness is perfect!
Take a look at where
I hung out the last time I was at the beach:

Please share a favorite line from your newest
book.
From Time Changes
Everything:
Amanda licked her lips, and damn it, it actually turned him
on. Sweet little Mandy Larson wasn’t so sweet anymore. She was driving him
crazy.
From Breaking the
Rules, which will come out in July from Crimson Romance:
Her back squared and for a moment, she looked fearless as a shark. But he
knew otherwise. He scared the crap out of her—in a good way—and he wasn’t about
to let her slip from his fingers.
